Affiliate Marketing for Beginners Guide- How to Get Started in Your Online Business Career

Here’s a guide to affiliate marketing for beginners. I’ll only be able to cover the basics here, because affiliate marketing is a constant learning process.

There are two main ways to make money doing affiliate marketing:

1)PPL, or Pay Per Lead. The affiliate receives money when they point a prospect to a site where they enter some kind of information, such as contact information or a request for an insurance quote.

2)PPS, or Pay Per Sale. This is when the affiliate receives a commission from the sale of a product marketed by the affiliate. The affiliate just deals with the marketing aspect- the shipping, storage, manufacturing, etc. are all done by the company represented by the affiliate. These products can be anything from membership websites to magazines to fitness equipment.

Both methods work well- some affiliates like PPL because its free for the prospect to earn the affiliate a commission. Others like PPS because if you target the right market, you can make a lot of money with just a few sales.

Selecting your niche and products is one of the biggest and hardest steps in affiliate marketing for beginners. There are lots of ways to find a good niche though:

- Ask your friends and family what people are buying

- Talk to retail store owners to find out what’s hot

- Look on Amazon or eBay to see what’s been bought lately

- Pick up a few magazines and see what’s being advertised

Once you have a good niche, finding profitable keywords is the next step. The key is to be very focused by using long keywords.

For example, using “how to train German shepherds” would be a better keyword than “train dogs”. The more narrow your market, the better your chance of success.

You can find good keyword combinations using Google’s free keyword tool. Just type in words that relate very well to your product, and use the combinations Google finds with low competition.

Finally, you have two primary methods to actually do your marketing- article marketing and PPC.

Article marketing is free, but more labor intensive. It’s a great way to start out though, because if you get short on cash you can always resort to article marketing.

PPC has several advantages, as once it’s set up and tweaked for great performance you don’t have to mess with it anymore. However it can be costly trying to learn what works and what doesn’t, as you have to pay for every ad someone clicks on to get to your site.

Those are the basics of affiliate marketing for beginners. I hope this site helps you on your way to making a lot of extra money with affiliate marketing. Good luck!

It may inject fear but it is healthy to simply expect the unexpected especially when you are miles away from home. Either way, the call is to value.

The ability to be open to anything, be it victory or failure, is unmistakably an advantage to others who are just close- fitted in their idealisms.
