
About A.S.P.O.E.
The American
Society of Petroleum Operations Engineers (A.S.P.O.E) was
founded in 1976 for the following purposes:
- The advancement
of public safety and welfare
- The unification
of all Petroleum Operations Engineers into one organization
- The advancement
of the professional, social, and economic interestes of the Petroleum
Operations Engineer
- The establishment
of high standards for all petroleum installations
- The improvement
of public relations and the promotion of the best interests of the
public in its relations with the Petroleum
Operations Engineers profession
- The development
of civic consciousness of the members of our profession
- The establishment
and the maintenance of high ethical standards and practices of our
profession.
The
American Society of Petroleum Operations Engineers (A.S.P.O.E) works
to stimulate interest from the academic world in the qualifications necessary
to become
a Petroleum Operations Engineer.
Members have worked
over the years to help write industry codes and recommended practices
and sit on National Fire
Protection Association committees.
Many are Presidents,
past Presidents, Officers, Directors, and Members of the Petroleum Equipment
Institute.
A.S.P.O.E. provides the Petroleum
Operations Engineer to your peer group and encourages networking within
its membership.
